Dave Anderson passed away Feb. 8, 2023 at the age of 77. He was preceded in death by his mother Helen (Kerslake) and father Williamm(Bill) Anderson. He is survived by brother Dale, and cousins Scott, Bob and Jeff Wightman, aunt Dorothy Wightman, and cousins Roy, Carol, Ann and Tom Kerslake. Dave was never married, but a passion of his was coaching youth sports, and supporting local youth in general. He worked for the YMCA for many years in different capacities, was involved in Gra-Y sports, North East football, Travelling baseball league, and of course the Euclidn Boys League. In 1992 he received the Stan Minotas Memorial Award, and in 1993 was declared "MR. E.B.L./1 In addition, he sponsored his own Andy's Cougars team for multiple years. After Euclid High, he received a degree thru "TRI-C/I and Cleveland State. After the YMCA, Dave trained and became a Habitation Specialist at the Rosemary Center, working in a group home before retiring. He loved to fish, especially in Quebec and Ontario, Canada. His knowledge of sports was impressive, causing him to yell at the Cleveland teams on television often. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests a donation in his name to your favorite youth sports program. Friends may call on Wednesday February 15, 2023 from 1-3 and 5-7 pm at the CORRIGAN-DEIGHTON Funeral Home 21900 Euclid Ave Euclid Oh. 44117. Interment Thursday 11:00 am At Knollwood Cemetery.
