Joseph Novak Obituary

Joseph William Novak died a fucking legend on February 24, 2026, in his beloved home, surrounded by loved ones. He was an avid obituary reader and NOW is his time to shine.

A loving father, partner, and self proclaimed lady’s man, Joe strutted out of the womb on August 22, 1945. Born the first son of Joseph and Mary Novak in Cleveland, OH, the family moved to Willowick, OH when Joe was 11 years old. He continued his education there, graduating from North High School.

Joe married twice resulting in the arrival of his first born. Along with his closest friends, he opened a successful bar & nightclub named ‘The Landmark.’ Oh how he loved sharing his wild stories to friends, family & acquaintances! Always a dapper, clever business man, he also enjoyed designing & homebuilding through his companies Ideal American Homes & Castlegate Homes.

Marrying a third time, the light & unconditional love of his life, daughter Kristin Lee Novak, was born. Together they shared his love of riding motorcycles and roller coasters. After his 4th marriage ended (Always a lady’s man) he eventually found his one true love & lived out his later years with Kristin Marie & their cockatoo, Noah.

Life’s surprises kept presenting themselves as Joe learned, through a DNA test his daughter had taken, that he was the proud father of a bouncing baby boy in his 50s, named Dave. Another wild ride for Joe.

Joseph’s hobbies included baseball, motorcycle trips on Scarlett, his BMW K1300, winning copious amounts of stuffed animals at various theme parks, savoring a treat from East Coast Custard, or enjoying a good cigar on his back patio.

He is survived by his ride or die, Noah. He leaves behind his heart & happiness in his daughter Kristin, her husband Dion and granddaughter, Emma; sons Joey, Dave & wife Patti, and grandsons Gabe, Ethan, Collin, and Lucas. He is also survived by his siblings Ken and Rosemary.

Last but definitely not least, his partner in life, Kristin Marie, who was there to care for, love him & hold his hand at the end.

In lieu of flowers, ride a motorcycle or coaster, have an ice cream cone or smoke a cigar and have a conversation with Joe, the fucking legend.
