Linda J Garrett

Linda J. Garrett, age 77, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025. She was born in Athens, Ohio, to the late Harold H. Atwood and Mary M. Dodson.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert D. Atwood, and her beloved granddaughter Maria R. Garrett.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy Kelly (Alex), grandchildren Skylar Garrett and Alaina Kelly, her son Steve Garrett (Renee), grandson Steve Garrett Jr., four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Linda worked as a bookkeeper for the State of Ohio Gambling Commission and also worked as a cashier in retail customer service. She found joy in simple and meaningful pastimes including reading, knitting, and crocheting. She was a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and loved cheering for them on game days.

Linda’s warmth, kindness, and love for her family will be deeply missed. Her legacy lives on through those she loved most.

A private service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to American Lung Association.
