Mary Ann Zigman Obituary


Mary Ann Zigman passed away peacefully at her childhood home and entered into Heaven on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Mary Ann was the loving daughter of Frank and Antoinette Zigman, whom alongside her brothers, Frank Jr and John, all welcomed her into Heaven safely and happily.  She waited patiently for her loving sister Susan who passed away hours after her and they went hand in hand into Heaven's Gate.
Mary Ann was a wonderful sister to Susan (Nelson) Gelbach, Rose Rush (Mike), Silvia Marotta-Rarick Jim), and Debra Zigman.   Mary Ann is the matriarch of the family but most importantly Mary Ann is Debra’s mentor, best friend, and Rock. Maryann is a wonderful Aunt to Suzi, Danielle, Michelle, Anthony, David, Scotty, Natalie (Brian), Kristina, Michael, Charlie, Gabrielle, and Emily and a Great Aunt to Isabella, Dominic, Jake, Amelia, Michael Jr, Wyatt, and Rosie. 
Maryann is preceded in death by her Grandparents Tomaselli and Grandparents Zigman many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her great nephew Baby Weston. 
Mary Ann is graduate of Willoughby South High School and Lake Erie College; Mary Ann holds a bachelor’s degree in Science and Chemistry.  She a registered Public Notary for over 50 years. She is also a Certified Medical Coder, who worked in several hospitals across the country. She is proud member of the Lake Erie College
Alumni Association, Lake County 4H, and Lake County Historical Society. Mary Ann served on the Willoughby Hills Community Days Committee for over two decades. She served as an assistant to the Wickliffe Business Association. Mary Ann has been instrumental in arranging annual horse shows and car shows throughout Lake County. Mary Ann is an entrepreneur that worked in the auto industry, food and entertainment industry, while also operating the family U-Haul and Snow removal business. She is a true jack of all trades. Her hobbies included black and white photography, architectural design, reading, and horses. Mary Ann is a true muscle car enthusiast; she owned several older models during her lifetime. 
Please join us on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 2-6pm at Corrigan’s Funeral Home, 
21900 Euclid Ave, Euclid 
A dinner event at Ludwig’s Bar at 
768 E 200th St Cleveland immediately after the memorial. 
A Celebration of Life will follow in the summer to continue to honor Mary Ann and her legacy.
Some called her Mary Ann, some called her Mitz, some called her Mia. But regardless of who was calling, she always answered. She will be greatly missed. Don’t say goodbye when we meet again say 
“Hi I missed you!” 
In lieu of flowers donations will be used for Maryann’s favorite Charities.
