PAUL MICHAEL BENO was born November 10, 1957 and fought a brief and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer that ended on February 24, 2022.
Paul was the cherished husband of 35 years to Margaret Mulligan, devoted father to Emma Beno, dear son of Albert and Margaret (Mihalik) Beno (both deceased), beloved brother of David (deceased), John (deceased) and Dr. M. Elaine Krosse (Matthew), and wonderful uncle to Sarah Krosse and Theresa Krosse.
Paul worked for the cities of Indianapolis, Cleveland, East Cleveland, and Euclid as a city planner, zoning administrator and director. He attended Miami of Ohio (undergrad) and The Ohio State University (grad school). He was a graduate of Oberlin High School. He loved the outdoors, and loved to teach young people about the environment and the joys of Mother Nature.
The family will receive friends at Corrigan Deighton Funeral Home, 21900 Euclid Ave., Euclid OH 44117, from 3 to 5 pm, with a small prayer service at 4:30 pm, on Saturday March 5. Were we will celebrate Paul's life. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make donations in Paul's name to the American Hiking Society, Rails to Trails, the American Cancer Society, or the charity of your choice.
The family is grateful for the caregivers we met on Paul's final journey: All those in the Richmond ED, Cleveland Clinic, UH Rehab Hospital, Seidman Cancer Center, OnDe Care, Visiting Angels, and Hospice of the Western Reserve.
Paul was loved and will be missed by so many. He was a special soul who brightened the lives of everyone he met.
