Robert "Bob" Sablack Obituary

Robert C. “Bob” Sablack, age 65, passed peacefully March 5th listening to Bob Dylan with his wife and son at his side.  Beloved husband of Tammy L. (nee Mancini); devoted father of Charles W. “Charlie”; dear son of Charlie W. (deceased) and Terese L. “Lolly”; loving uncle to Thomas W. “Tommy” Mancini; son-in-law of Joyce L. Sbrocco; brother-in-law of the late Thomas W. “Tommy” Mancini; lifelong friend of William “Bill” DeGidio and many others. 

Bob’s contributions to the Cleveland punk rock scene will be celebrated for many years to come.  He was a founding member of Defnics, Pink Holes, Plague, 2 Bobs and Chrome Kickers. Bob and his bandmates from Plague (Mike Duncan and the late Johnny Korosec and Duke Snyder) toured Switzerland and Germany in the 80’s and rocked Cleveland throughout the 80’s, reuniting in 2010. Bob was a graphic artist by trade, later establishing a dog grooming shop with his wife and delivering for Legend Delivery and Blood Courier. 

Bob’s passions included being a dad, writing and playing music, his dogs (Pixie, Penny, Missy & Georgie) and spending time just hanging out with friends and family.  

Funeral Mass at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick, OH 44095 on March 24, 2025  at 10:30 am  PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.  In lieu of flowers, any donation to the family would be appreciated.
